What Fact Checkup is
Fact Checkup explains common health claims in simple Hindi and English, using trusted sources such as WHO, ICMR, the Health Ministry, CDC, NHS and PubMed.
It is general health information for everyone. In an emergency, call 108 or 112. For mental health support, call Tele-MANAS on 14416 (free, 24×7).
Using Fact Checkup
Don't use our content to start, stop or change any treatment. Sources and advice change over time, so we update topics, and each one shows when it was last updated. If something looks wrong, tell us with "Something wrong? Tell us" in the app.
What we collect
You don't need an account, and we never ask for your name or phone number.
The app uses an ID for your phone that Android gives only to this app. It stays the same if you reinstall the app, and changes if the phone is reset. We use it to send you answers to the claims you ask us to check. If you allow notifications, we also keep a notification token. Claims you send are stored so we can check them, and may become public topics, with nothing that links them to you.
Mood check-ins stay only on your phone. We count shares, link opens and game answers without any personal data. We don't show ads and we never sell data.
Your choices
You can turn off notifications in the app settings. Removing the app deletes everything it saved on your phone. To ask us to delete what is linked to your phone's ID, write to us with that ID. It is at the bottom of the app's More page, and tapping it copies it. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection rules.
